The Order Types are simply an optional list of names used to describe the different types of orders.

If you have a large number of orders in the system and it would help to classify them into separate groups, create order types and assign them to the each order. Some uses have included separating Spring orders from Fall orders, or Specimen orders from Liner orders. When Order Types are used is entirely up to you. Use this feature if you take more than one order for a customer and each order has a different purpose.

Properties

Name

This is the name given to the type. There are not likely to be that many order types, so keep the name short. It is only used for internal documentation and order retrieval.
