Orders entered into PlantX.net can be grouped by Order Period. All orders carry an entry date, but the entry date does not accurately reflect what period the order belongs. Orders are likely entered in Summer, Fall and Winter for Spring the following year, therefore the entry date from the year prior does not accurately reflect the period to which the order belongs. Create order periods like Fall 07 or Spring 08 to group orders into their respective period.
The order period can be used to group and manage like orders and create reports by specific periods.

Properties
- Name
- The name of the period. This is any name you would like to give to the period. Since the name is open to any text, you can also use this field to divide orders into any grouping.
- Archived
- If you no longer need to see a named order period listed as an option, mark the period as archived.
