A load is any part of an order that can be managed, billed and shipped. There are typically two reasons for using the load feature of PlantX.net. First, if an order cannot be shipped as a whole in a single load, it must be broken into two or more loads and managed as such. Optionally, the loads can be invoiced separately or altogether in a single invoice for the entire order. Secondly, use the load feature if you plan on using the trucking feature to assemble loads into trucks.

Loads are managed on an order by order basis using the Load Manager tab on the order. When supplies are allocated the order, they can be assigned or split into loads. The loads, in turn, can then be invoiced and placed on trucks.
