Guide: Entering a Credit Memo on a Customer Account

This is how to enter a Credit Memo on a Customer account.


Select the Customers button on the toolbar, this opens the “Customers” account window.

In the customers window, select the account name from the list on the left side of the window by single clicking it.

With the account selected, select the Ledger tab on the right side of the window. This displays the account ledger.

To add a Credit Memo, select the Add Credit Memo button. This opens the "Credit Memo" window.

In the “Credit Memo” window, input the date, number, and a note. When completed, select the OK button, this opens the individual "Credit Memo #" window.

To add a credit, select Add Line button on the right side of the window. This opens the “Edit Credit Memo Transaction” window.

In this window select the Chart Account type, add a note, and input the quantity and price. Select the OK button to submit.

The debit and credit now show in the memo and in the account ledger.
