Guide: Deleting a Chart Account

This guide shows how to delete a Chart Account.

NOTE: An account cannot be deleted if it is used in an accounting transaction.

1. Select menu option Action | Maintain | Chart of Accounts.

Chart of Accounts window will open.

2. Click on the account to delete.

3. Click the Delete Chart Account button.

The Confirm Delete dialog opens.

4. Click Yes to delete or No to cancel.

The account no longer appears in the chart account list.
