Guide: Adding a Customer Account

This guide shows how to add a Customer Account.


Select the Customer button Customer on the Toolbar.

In the Customers window, select the Add Customer button to add a new account.

The New Account window appears.

Account Name
This name is used to identify the account. It can be a shortened name, but using short names in PlantX.net is unnecessary. This name is primarily for your internal use when you lookup the customer, although it is used as the default value for addresses.
Contact
Use this field to enter the name of a contact at the company. This person will be added to the list of contacts as the main contact.
Address
PlantX.net will use the address entered here to create the "main" address. The Account Name entered above will automatically be prepended to the address.


Once all information has been input, click the OK button to create the account.

The "new account" now appears on the left side of the Customers window, under the Name column.
